HVAC Technician

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of residential and/or commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will troubleshoot issues, recommend solutions, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform diagnostic checks and troubleshoot HVAC systems (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, etc.) 
  • Repair and maintain residential and/or commercial HVAC systems 
  • Install new HVAC equipment and components 
  • Perform preventative maintenance on systems and components 
  • Communicate effectively with customers about service issues, recommendations, and solutions 
  • Provide detailed reports on service calls, parts used, and work performed 
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in proper working condition 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local HVAC codes 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED; HVAC trade school certification preferred 
  • EPA 608 Certification (Universal) required 
  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC service, maintenance, or installation 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills 
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics 
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills 
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with both residential and commercial systems 
  • Proficiency with smart thermostats and modern HVAC controls 
  • Familiarity with CRM or field service software 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, rooftops, attics, and crawlspaces 
  • Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
